Job Description / Purpose:
Hirsch’s Home Stores are currently seeking a Personal Relations Officer that will be responsible for organizing and facilitating store promotions and events and the necessary coverage from an advertising perspective including local press, media and radio campaigns.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Build and develop the database for Hirsch’s; Maintain and co-ordinate all communicative measures on behalf of the business; Direct and organise sales team members on their promotional activities and in store specials; Setting up agenda’s and guide them with literature to assist their promotions- such as hourly programs for them to work from on promo days; Liaise with media companies (print and radio and television broadcasting) after consultation and approval by the Public Relations & Communications Consultant on any publications, national and local; Merchandising; To find ways of making the Branch more visible to the public in any way possible; Assist and work closely with the advertising department ensuring the right company profile and promotion is advertised in line with the company of brand identity; Assist with the procurement/buying process for any promotional activity or event; Attend all future business development functions of interest in the area, such as new malls, new residential estates; Manage monthly reports effectively; Work with the PR team on National and Regional events; Be prepared to work late hours; To attend press and media functions as and when required

Matric; Related Experience; Drivers licence and own vehicle; Good computer skills; Must have a laptop and camera; Vibrant; Excellent Communication skills; Experience with the media; Experience in organising events and functions; Able to work within a team; Able to generate sales for the branch; Must be able to promote Hirsch’s and do sales if necessary; Must be prepared to work a minimum of two Saturday’s a month until 1 pm.
